Objective To explore the constituent elements of nurses’ humanistic literacy,to construct the self-rating scale of nurses’ humanistic literacy and verify its reliability and validity. Methods From July to December 2020,on the basis of reviewing the latest literature, the initial item pool of the scale was formed through 2 rounds of expert consultation and pre-investigation. This scale was tested among 1 000 nurses in hospitals across the country. SPSS was used to analyze the reliability, and AMOS was used for confirmatory factor analysis. Results The self-rating scale of nurses’ humanistic literacy consisted of 6 dimensions and 54 items. The Cronbach’s α coefficient of the total scale was 0.982;the split-half reliability of the total scale was 0.962;the retest reliability of the total scale was 0.758. 6 common factors were extracted by exploratory factor analysis, which explained 68.089% of the total variance. The one-dimension/multi-factor model’s /df was 2.495;NFI was 0.800;modified standardized moderation index was 0.876;CFI was 0.922;TLI was 0.915,and RMSEA was 0.055. Conclusion This study determined the constituent elements of humanistic literacy of nurses in China. The scale with good reliability and validity can further provide support for the investigation of the humanistic literacy level of nurses in China. It can also provide a basis and reference for nursing management to develop interventions.
